Dr. Cynthia Morris

Background and Professional Experience
For the past 35 years I have worked as a mental health counselor and school counselor in mental health agencies, public schools and higher education. The focus of my academic and professional work has been to develop and utilize culturally sensitive counseling approaches to help a diverse student/client population achieve success in their personal, career and academic life. My B.A. in Spanish from Juniata College, Huntingdon, PA and my M.Ed. specialization in Family Counseling from Lesley University, Cambridge MA provided the foundation for the doctorate studies I pursued at George Mason University. I received my Ph.D. in Education (specialization in multicultural counseling, qualitative research and bilingual education) in 1997 and my licensure as a Professional Counselor in 2006 in Pennsylvania.

Current Professional Practice
I currently live and practice as a private child and family counselor in Lancaster, PA. I also provide consulting services in cross-cultural counseling (diversity and inclusion) and bullying prevention.
